Clavell’s Restaurant founded in 2008 is “far away from the madding crowd.” Clavell’s is nestled in the charming picture box village of Kimmeridge on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset one mile inland from the World Jurassic Heritage Coast. We are part of a family that have farmed in the Purbeck’s since the 1950s and we are passionate about offering delicious locally sourced food, with delightful service at an attractive price.
Our Ethos “from field to fork” is reflected in the menu. We pride ourselves in serving delicious home-made food using only the finest locally sourced ingredients. We are very proud to support many of Dorset’s wonderful food producers.
Our seasonal menu can be enjoyed in our restaurant or ‘alfresco’ on fine afternoons and during the summer time. The day time menu is imaginative, relaxed and informal offering an array of delicious homemade breakfasts, lunches and traditional afternoon teas as well as excellent wines and local beers.
